A day after losing his first base starting job to Lucas Duda, Ike Davis cranked a pinch-hit, walk-off grand slam to lift the New York Mets over the Cincinnati Reds, 6-3.
The game-winner came off Reds pitcher J.J. Hoover, who was standing in for injured all-star closer Aroldis Chapman. Davis was batting in the pitcher’s spot when he lined an 0-1 over the right field fence.
Below is a fan video of the moment, taken from behind home plate.
According to ESPN, the last walk-off grand slam by a team trailing was ironically by the Reds.
