Perez’s home was searched by the Rocky River, Ohio police department Tuesday, who executed a search warrant.

Police informed WKYC that multiple jurisdictions have been involved, including a drug task force.  The report also stated police would not confirm what items were found in Perez’s home.

Indians general manager Chris Antonetti issued the following statement regarding the situation:

“Earlier this morning we were made aware of a situation involving RHP Chris Perez that occurred yesterday in Rocky River.  We have talked with Chris and are currently in the process of gathering additional information. We will not have any additional comment at this time.”

No word on how this may impact Perez or the Indians on the field. Perez has six saves and a 4.32 ERA on the current season.
