A new year brings a new chapter for star South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. During an interview, directly following South Carolina’s victory over Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl, Clowney informed ESPN reporter Tom Luginbill that he intends to declare himself eligible for the 2014 NFL Draft.
In 2012, Clowney recorded 13 sacks and 23.5 tackles for a loss. With great expectations heading into 2013, the defensive end’s numbers dipped. He only notched three sacks and 10.5 tackles for a loss.
Clowney is listed as Scouts Inc.’s No. 1 draft prospect, with a grade of 96.
