A decision on whether or not Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston will be charged with sexual battery will be announced on Thursday.
Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs will make the announcement at 2:00 p.m. ET, according to a report from the Tallahassee Democrat.
The case stems from an alleged rape of a fellow Florida State student that dates back to Dec. 7, 2012.
Winston and the No. 1-ranked Seminoles are currently preparing for the ACC Championship Game against Duke on Saturday. A win in Charlotte, NC will propel FSU into their first national championship game in more than a decade.
If Winston is charged with the felony, he will not be able to play in the upcoming game, per FSU’s code of conduct.
