James Harden had himself a record-setting evening on Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies. He recorded the highest point total ever for a player who hit two or fewer field goals.

Harden ground his way to those 27 points by shooting only 2-for-9 from the field, but 22-for-25 from the charity stripe. The 27 points were a game-high in scoring. He also grabbed 6 rebounds, while his 5 assists tied for the team lead.

On a night when his shot wasn’t falling, Harden didn’t settle for jumpers. He instead found his way to the line and manufactured points. As a result, Houston defeated Memphis, 100-92.
