Before going down, Driskel completed 39-of-55 passes on the season for 444 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Despite the unfortunate news, backup quarterback Tyler Murphy stepped in and did a fantastic job of leading the Gators to victory.

Murphy’s pocket presence was impressive for it being his first, real live action under center. Muschamp had high praise of the junior following the game, stating that Murphy was “the reason why we won the football game today.”

Murphy completed 8-of-14 passes for 134 yards with one touchdown and zero interceptions.

His performance led the Gators to a 31-17 victory over the Vols, their ninth straight in the rivalry.
