Joe Theismann, who suffered a career-ending broken leg when the ruthless Lawrence Taylor sacked him, offered a quick bit of support to Louisville’s Kevin Ware.

During Sunday’s Elite Eight showdown between Louisville and Duke, Ware leaped forward in an attempt to block a shot. He came down hard on his right leg and it snapped under his weight. The break was gruesome, and some of Ware’s teammates shed tears right there on the court.

Here’s a video of Theismann’s snapped leg. It is not for everybody. If you feel as if you may have a queasy stomach, please, do not push play.
