Denver Broncos head coach John Fox was taken to the hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack, according to ESPN NFL Insiders Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen.

Fox’s Broncos currently sit at 7-1, in second place behind Kansas City in the AFC West. They are coming off a 45-21 win against Washington and have a bye this week.
There are no reports yet as to the severity of Fox’s potential heart attack, or when he may be returning to the sidelines.

***UPDATE*** 5:05 p.m.
The Denver Broncos have reported that Fox was taken to a Charlotte-area hospital with chest pains, but did not suffer an heart attack. He is undergoing testing from doctors.
Talked to Coach Fox a few minutes ago. Did not have a heart attack. Is in good spirits and undergoing additional testing at hospital.
