The rockstar — but slightly more tame — lifestyle of Johnny Football continues on the West Coast. First, instead of girls and guns and what not, Manziel tweeted out pics of he and his family golfing at beautiful Pebble Beach.
Of course, that didn’t stop folks from taking to Twitter to hate on Mr. Football, but that’s neither here nor there.
What’s important is what Manziel was actually doing there in the first place. Hoping to improve his arm strength in anticipation of making a run at his second Heisman Trophy, the Texas A&M star was in Dime City working with renowned quarterbacks guru George Whitfield Jr.
But the practices are only during the day, and while his arm must be pretty tired, it’s not so exhausted that he can’t throw out his second ceremonial first pitch of the baseball season.
The Rangers hooked Manziel up with a t-shirt, which is cool and all, but the San Diego Padres are taking it to another level. Manziel will get his very own Padres’ jersey, outfitted with a Heisman patch.
Count us among the ones who are very jealous.
Just keep on keeping on, Johnny America.
