Keisean Lucier-South is bigger than you, has garnered far more attention from football coaches than you have and he won’t even be graduating high school until 2015.
That’s just what happens when you measure in at 6-foot-6, 215 pounds and 247Sports has you rated as the No. 14 player in the entire state of California. The Orange, CA. native is also rated as the No. 6 defensive end in the country and the No. 117-overall player at any position, anywhere. That’s big time.
If a team is going to land the services of such a big-time baller, it cannot simply send over a quick post card, make a phone call, and call it a day. Heck nah. Going above and beyond means making a move like Texas A&M did and bringing in some artsy folks to help its letters stand out. See the photo above? It’s not the standard letters we’re noticing, but rather the sparkles and swirls all over the Aggies’ letters. Perhaps Lucier-South will too?
The Arizona Wildcats have also put in the time, sending 34 hand-written letters his way. But wait, there’s oh so much more. Just scroll down.
Texas is the type of program that doesn’t need to work quite as hard to bring in the very biggest and best players from around the country. There is no art on their envelopes. However, the Longhorns did send a whopping 68 letters his way.
