FSU WR Kelvin Benjamin: ‘Noles are the ‘Floyd Mayweather of football’

During BCS National Championship Media Day on Saturday, FSU wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin gave us one of the better soundbites from the event. When talking about his team, Benjamin related the Seminoles to one of the greatest boxers of all time, Floyd Mayweather.

FSU ran away with the ACC during the regular season, compiling a 12-0 record before dismantling Duke in the title game, 45-7.

There’s no doubt that Florida State is the king sitting on top of the college football world right now, but maybe players should save the championship talk until after Monday night’s title game. Statements like these often make their way back to the opposing team’s bulletin board, and the last thing Florida State needs is to fuel Auburn’s run more.
