In case you happened to have been living on, under, or generally near a rock — well, as opposed to a television with ESPN hooked up at least — the defending national champion Kentucky Wildcats basketball team was relegated to the NIT after a massively disappointing 2012-13 season.
From there, whelp, things only got far worse.
As the No. 1-seed in the NIT, Kentucky was forced to go on the road, because their gym in Lexington was reserved as an official NCAA Tourney locale. Thus, the big-timing Wildcats took the floor against teensy-weensy Robert Morris, in a gym one-tenth the size of their own.
[Of course we interviewed her: The Legend of the Red Bra Girl is born]
Forty minutes later, Kentucky’s season was over and Colonials fans, like the one above, were raging like never before.
Well, Coach Jon Calipari and another elite group of superstar freshmen will have their chance at revenge next year — will Red Bra Girl be raging once again?
UK will host the Keightley Classic beginning Nov. 17-Robert Morris, Nov. 19-Texas-Arlington, Nov. 25-Cleveland St., Nov. 27-Eastern Michigan
