Kevin Durant’s 25+ Points Scoring Streak Is Among NBA’s Greatest

If Kevin Durant hadn’t already convinced voters that he is the NBA’s MVP for the 2013-14 season, this one stat could sway any individuals stilll on the fence. With Sunday night’s 31-point performance against the Utah Jazz, Durant has now scored 25+ points in 38 consecutive games. That number is good for fourth all time in a single season, just behind Michael Jordan (40 straight games), Oscar Robertson (46), and Wilt Chamberlain (80).

Next on the schedule for Durant are San Antonio and Houston. If the gunslinger can score 25+ points in each of those contests, he then has Phoenix to surpass Jordan. Only time will tell if he can conquer the G.O.A.T. and then Robertson, but one thing is for certain: Durant is having a season for the ages.
