Kevin Kolb says he is in Buffalo ‘To win a Super Bowl. Period.’

Kevin Kolb was traded from Philadelphia to Arizona in order to launch bombs to star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Unfortunately, Kolb’s time in Phoenix was less than memorable, but that has not shaken his confidence.

Kolb addressed the media for the first time with his new team on Monday, and he was succinct in his goals:

Hey, Mr. Kolb, that’s fantastic.

After all, what was he going to say?

‘Howdy folks, I’m super pumped to try to get us to .500 in the next couple of years. But really, yo, this is Buffalo, so it’s whatever, you know?’

That obviously was not going to work, but perhaps Kolb should have earned the starting spot before making such a bold declaration. Buffalo currently has Kolb, along with Tavaris Jackson and Aaron Corp on the roster after cutting 2012 starter Ryan Fitzpatrick. Further, the team could select a young gunner in the 2013 NFL Draft.

No matter who is under center, whether it be Kolb or anyone else, seeing Buffalo in the 2014 Super Bowl would come as a huge surprise, that’s for sure.
