Rumors began swirling Sunday morning that long-time NBA veteran Lamar Odom has been battling a drug addiction for two years — crack-cocaine to be exact.

According to a report from TMZ, Odom’s drug addiction has even bled into his personal life with wife Khloe Kardashian. The two have been undergoing significant troubles in their marriage life.

TMZ is also reporting that Odom’s addiction has driven him away from family and friends for the last 72 hours.

Sources connected to the NBA star tell us people on Lamar’s side, and on the Kardashian side have not been able to find Lamar or contact him for nearly 72 hours — and we’re told the main concern is he’s hiding out while doing crack cocaine.

Whether or not this is true remains to be seen. Jason Lisk of The Big Lead points out a very important detail in the lifestyle of the rich and famous. If Odom and Khloe have been undergoing marriage problems, the Kardashians could very well plant stories that would paint Odom as the one at fault in this case.

For Odom’s sake, we hope that he isn’t addicted to drugs.

“Lamar is not missing. His wife knows exactly where he is.”

Do you blame him? Home life is laughable. Maybe he’s in Mexico..

His home life might suck but “crack” addiction is serious stuff and could lead to death, jail, or worst of all mental institution.

Out of death, jail and mental institution… you deem mental institution as “worst of all”? Yeah, cuz death isn’t too bad, I guess…

When your brain shuts down from drug abuse you have no life, so death might be better than confined to a wheelchair with no mind or communication skills.

I don’t believe the crack cocaine – Khloe seems the best of the lot but you still have to deal with a crazy mother-in-law……I pity anybody who marries into that family…..He probably wants away from the media and wonders how he got in the mess!

people forget Odom has had a troubled path, which is what led him to play at University of Rhode Island as one of the best players in the nation, A drug addiction is not to hard to believe. His father i believe is a former addict and i know in his youth “party life” was his thing. that being said crack cocaine is serious n that is not a party drug, that is an addicts drug, a dangerous drug
