Lambeau Field to offer free hot chocolate at frigid Wild Card game

Sunday’s NFC Wild Card game in Green Bay is supposed to be colder than moonlight on a tombstone. In an effort to help keep fans toasty, the concession stands at Lambeau Field will provide¬†two free cups of hot chocolate.

“With the forecast predicting very cold temperatures this Sunday, we’re happy to offer our fans a way to warm up while attending the game,” said Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy.

AccuWeather currently predicts temperatures at kickoff to be roughly -3 degrees Fahrenheit, with a real feel of -27 degrees. After a week of blackout speculation, the gratis beverages are a polite nod to fans willing to brave the elements and cheer on the teams.

As for the game: kickoff between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers is scheduled for approximately 4:40 p.m ET. The winning team will play either Seattle or Carolina in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
