Alabama defensive end LaMichael Fanning will reportedly transfer from the Crimson Tide. According to AL.com, the redshirt sophomore will move to Jacksonville State.
Fanning was often listed as a third-team option on the depth chart, and recorded only three tackles on the season. He was indefinitely suspended in October due to violation of team rules.
In 2011, the defensive end was a four-star recruit out of Harris County, GA. He chose Alabama over Auburn and Florida State, among other schools. Since Jacksonville State is an FCS school, Fanning will be eligible to play immediately.
