Lane Kiffin will be named the Alabama Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator, according to a report from ESPN. Kiffin will replaced former OC Doug Nussmeier, who left for the same position with Michigan earlier this week.
Kiffin was fired as the USC Trojans head coach during the middle of the 2013 season. He coached the Trojans from 20010-2013.
This will be Kiffin’s second stint in the SEC. He was the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers during the 2009 season, before taking over at USC.
*UPDATE* Kiffin’s deal is for three years. He will also coach the quarterbacks for Alabama.
Alabama football has hired Lane Kiffin to be its next offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. #RollTide
