Lindsey Vonn returns to ski slopes nine days after tearing ACL

Lindsey Vonn is reportedly skiing less than 10 days after injuring her knee in a crash. According to U.S. Ski Team, Vonn took to the slopes in Vail, Colorado on Thanksgiving Day.

On November 19, Vonn crashed while training in Copper Mountain. After getting an MRI, it was determined that Vonn partially tore the ACL in her right knee. It’s the same knee she injured in February, and has spent the better part of 2013 rehabbing.

Vonn shared the following photo on Facebook with the caption:

The first day back on snow since my crash and it was awesome! I’m very thankful for many things this year – family, loved ones, great fans – but at this moment I’m happy to be on the mountain doing what I love – skiing!! Happy thanksgiving everyone! And a special thanks to Vail Mountain for opening the lifts early for me.

Though she is back on skis, Vonn is unsure whether or not she will be able to compete in the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
