The top-seeded Louisville Cardinals took care of business against two-seed Duke in the Elite Eight, beating down the Blue Devils, 85-63, on Sunday afternoon.

However, the topic on everyone’s mind was of course the absolutely devastating injury to sophomore guard Kevin Ware. With just over six minutes remaining in the first half, Ware jumped up to try to block a Duke shot. When he landed, his leg broke underneath him, stopping the game dead in its tracks.

Once play resumed, the Cardinals pulled off the win, as mentioned, and coach Rick Pitino detailed what exactly it was that Ware was up against.
