LSU, Iowa ate over 5,000 pounds of food at Outback Bowl welcome dinner

The final tally is in: LSU and Iowa ate over 5,000 pounds of food at the Outback Bowl welcome dinner on Thursday night. That’s 2.5 tons of food, or the average weight of a white rhino (if your a visual type of person).

The 120 gallons of Diablo and barbecue sauce is the equivalent of nearly eight kegs worth of sauce.

Did we mention the 160 Bloomin’ Onions they took down?

And it was all topped off with 1,200 pounds of cheese cake.

Jared Aarons of KGAN tweeted an official “box score” of the dinner, for those that can stomach it.

Now if we only knew how many corn dogs the LSU fans are going to put down at the tailgate …
