The game of football has changed. No longer are teams expected to pound the ball on the ground 50-plus times a game, only throwing when absolutely necessary or for a temporary change of pace.
Instead, more and more franchises across the NFL have centered their offenses around a gunslinging passing attack. Of course, in order for quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees to be successful, elite wide receivers are necessary.
That’s why it was such big news when a number of those exact players all changed teams following the 2012-13 season. While we as fans are all still a ways away from seeing Greg Jennings, Anquan Boldin, Percy Harvin and others in the official game day uniforms of their new teams, we get a sneak peek as to what they may be looking like thanks to the glory that is the Madden video game series.
Set to hit shelves on Aug. 28, we also get to take a first look at Madden 25. Its enhanced game-play is featured as the next level of work with the Ignite, physics-based, engine’s development.
