The 68-team field is set, and the one thing we know so far is that ESPN is head over heels for Michigan State, loves Louisville, and likes Duke and Oklahoma State. In making their March Madness predictions, all five of ESPN’s college basketball analysts (Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg, Jay Williams, Digger Phelps and Dick Vitale) picked the Spartans to win the national championship. Three of the five analysts picked Sparty to top Rick Pitino’s Cardinals in the title game, while the other two had the Blue Devils and Cowboys losing to Michigan State.
Vitale had a Final Four of Florida vs. Michigan State and Arizona vs. Louisville, with both No. 4 seeds topping the No. 1 seeds.
The good news for the other 67 teams in the field is that the games still have to be played. The bad news for Michigan State is that ESPN is doing its best to jinx the Spartans.
