Report: Miami Marlins president David Samson to compete on ‘Survivor’

The long-running reality TV show “Survivor” welcomes a member of the MLB family this season. According to Local10.com, Miami Marlins president David Samson, 45, competed in the 28th season, which airs in February.

Samson, who has competed in Ironman and marathon events, has been with the president of the Marlins since 2002. Prior to that he was the Executive Vice President with the Montreal Expos (1999-2002).

David Samson isn’t the first sports personality to appear on the show. In 2010 former football coach Jimmy Johnson competed on “Survivor: Nicaragua.”

While the Marlins President will be on ‘Survivor’ this offseason, the players he put together will have no problems surviving this season as they look to start moving in the right direction going forward. You can get all your Marlins tickets for the upcoming season here.
