In a scary moment during the Seahawks-Texans game, Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett was carted off the field on a stretcher after sustaining an injury. Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle is reporting it to be a “lower back injury.”

Bennett was attempting to rush quarterback Matt Schaub late in the first half. The momentum from his dive carried him awkwardly into Schaub’s hip and then a group of players fell on top of him.

The Seattle defense has struggled against Houston as of writing, but this transcends on-field performance.

The thoughts of everyone here at Gamedayr are with Bennett. We’re all hoping for a safe and swift recovery, and there is already a bit of good news: Bennett was moving his legs after the injury.

Further, he has feeling in his extremities.
