Michigan State safety Isaiah Lewis was ejected for a targeting hit against Northwestern. The penalty came early in the game, during Northwestern’s second offensive series.
Wildcats quarterback Kain Colter was split out as receiver, and received a pass from Trevor Siemian. Before Colter could take one full step, Lewis squared up with a big hit. The helmet-to-helmet tackle jarred the ball loose, and Colter was shaken up on the play. Michigan State received a 15-yard penalty, and Lewis was ejected for targeting.
