At least 15 people were arrested in East Lansing following Michigan State’s upset victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes. According to the Associated Press, 12 of the individuals arrested are students at the university.
The Spartans defeated the Buckeyes, 34-24, to capture the Big Ten title on Saturday. With the victory, Michigan State earned a spot in the Rose Bowl to take on the Pac-12 representative, Stanford. The loss was Ohio State’s first defeat in 24 games; it also prevented the Buckeyes from playing in the BCS National Championship Game.
