The Los Angeles Lakers took the court on Sunday for Game 1 of their first round playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs. Kobe Bryant, fresh off of tearing his Achilles tendon, watched as his Lake-show fell, 91-79.

During the game, Bryant provided in-game coaching via Twitter. After the defeat, head coach Mike D’Antoni was asked how he felt about it.

D’Antoni had one simple statement: “Kobe is a fan right now.”

Having given his blood, sweat and tears for the Lakers over the better part of the last two decades, Bryant responded with the following tweet.

Fast forward to approximately the 2:40 mark for the Kobe Twitter talk.

Bryant followed up with the two tweets below, which leads us to believe he understood the statement from D’Antoni and took it with a grain of salt.

For the fans’ sake, we can only hope the Lakers extend their postseason in the playoffs as long as possible. This could get rather interesting.
