For the Redskins, this is just another black eye on a season that can’t end soon enough. With the loss, Washington drops to an abysmal 3-11 on the year.
Shanahan elected to start Kirk Cousins over Robert Griffin III on Sunday. Cousins finished the day with 381 yards passing and three touchdowns, compared to two interceptions. Despite his decent outing, the Redskins turned the ball over an additional five times on the day.
Next up for Shanahan and the Redskins is Dallas on Sunday, Dec. 22.
