Mississippi State mascot breaks leg after being hit by ESPN cart

The Mississippi State Bulldogs’ mascot, Bully, was injured during the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving. Bully was apparently run over by an ESPN cart, and was rushed to the hospital.

According to SB Nation, the student behind the costume had a compound fracture and went into surgery Thursday evening to repair the injury.

If there is any bright spot in the matter for the student, it’s that the Bulldogs recaptured the “Golden Egg.” The thrilling, 17-10 overtime win also made Mississippi State bowl eligible.
