Muscle Milk donates 4,608 bottles (384 cases) of product to Grambling football program

Muscle Milk just scored a ton of good publicity by was of Grambling State University.

By now, most of the country is familiar with the issues surrounding Grambling football and its players’ boycott of the program. There is moldy, mildewy equipment; dilapidated facilities; tough travel schedules; and little communication with school administration.

Another complaint players had was in regards to their summer practice. Per their letter of grievance to the university:

Student-athletes have been complaining since summer 2013 about the way summer camp and work outs were set up. We did not receive Gatorade or Muscle Milk. We had to pay for those expensive items ourselves. We were also forced to get water from hoses underneath the stadium in 90 degree plus weather.

After releasing a statement that they would play the remainder of the season, Grambling players acquired a new sponsor in Muscle Milk. The company has donated 384 cases (4,608 bottles) to the program.

As ESPN business insider Darren Rovell shows, that is no small amount. After swinging and missing on Aaron Hernandez as a spokesman, this is a great move for both Grambling and for the brand.
