Former Florida center Patric Young has found a home in the NBA. Adam Silverstein of OnlyGators.com was the first to report Young’s contract signing on Saturday.

Not long after Silverstein broke the news, Young also took to social media, thanking everyone who supported him along the way.
It’s a blessing to announce that I signed a contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. Thank you to everyone that supported me!!! — Patric Young (@BigPatYoung4) July 19, 2014
Young becomes just the latest in a long line of players Billy Donovan has coached into the NBA. Although he wasn’t selected in the 2014 NBA Draft, Young has impressed in Summer League play, averaging 25.2 minutes, 7.4 points, and 8.0 rebounds per game.
At 6’9″ and 249 pounds, Young looks to provide the same muscle down low for the Pelicans that he did while suiting up in Gainesville. During his senior year at UF, the Jacksonville, Florida native averaged 11 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game.
