According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, the wait is over: Following all the ranting, raving and rumors, the one and only Tim Tebow is expected to be playing in the NFL in 2013.

The New England Patriots, the franchise deemed most likely to sign the former Heisman Trophy winner all along, will be signing him and expect him to report to training camp on Tuesday.

Obviously, this is a huge deal for The Chosen One. After leading Denver to a playoff win, he was promptly traded to the circus show that is the New York Jets and was basically forced to sit out the entire season.

After the Jets selected West Virginia’s Geno Smith in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Tebow was deemed expendable, and was cut soon thereafter.

Many believed his NFL playing days were actually over, but the Patriots will be giving the two-time BCS national champion at Florida another opportunity to shine.

In all likelihood, he will be asked to change positions with future Hall of Famer Tom Brady entrenched under center.

The next question becomes, of course, where will he be playing?
