Hugh Freeze has changed the mentality behind the entire Ole Miss football program.
Now, Nike has helped him change the program’s look as well.
During Saturday’s Grove Bowl (the Rebs’ spring game) Freeze unveiled several new “NFL-cut” jerseys and uniform combinations. Along with their traditional grey pants, the team will now also have white and blue to choose from.
Thus, the program can now go with a slick, white-on-white or even blue-on-blue look as they attempt to make yet another leap after going 2-10 in 2011 and 7-6 in Freeze’s first year in 2012.
Nike knows a program on the rise when it sees one. The company gave Oregon the facelift treatment years ago and we all know how that worked out.
Could Ole Miss be the fashion-forward, “cool” team in the SEC?
Rebels players sure seem to think so.
