Wes Welker Leaves Game With Possible Concussion

Wes Welker unfortunately knows all too well about concussions. Last season, he missed three and a half games after suffering two in a two-month span.

In Saturday’s preseason game against the Texans, Welker left the game with a possible concussion after he was awkwardly struck with a legal hit by safety DJ Swearinger.

Swearinger is catching a bit of grief online, but the hit is legal as he led with the shoulder, not his head.

After the play, Peyton Manning got into the mix by running 30 yards downfield to get in the face of Swearinger, earning a taunting penalty.

Though a prognosis hasn’t been given yet on Welker, it’s not a good sign when one of your top receivers already has concussion issues in the preseason.
