It was a huge weekend for Bears Country, that's for sure.

Last season, Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III patrolled the Baylor football field, dominating opponents in a manner that had never been seen in Waco, Texas.

His replacement, Nick Florence, has been piling up numbers at an even greater clip, and on Saturday he did something not even RGIII managed to pull off in beating then-No. 1 Kansas State in front of the home faithful.

That said, the Washington Redskins recently named the rookie their captain, and not without reason.

Which one of these past and present Baylor ballers performed better over the weekend? Check out the stats here.

The heir apparent completed 20-of-32 passes for 238 yards, and ran nine times for 47 yards. Both of his passing touchdowns came in the first half when the Bears (5-5, 2-5) jumped out to a 28-7 lead.

From there it was relatively smooth sailing, and the Bears became the first sub-.500 team to beat a national No. 1 in the BCS era.

You've just got to imagine there was a cocktail or two enjoyed in Waco, TX.

After throwing 12 passes all of last season behind RGIII, Baylor's big win has finally thrust the spotlight onto a very deserving Big 12 quarterback.

Florence has completed 61.6-percent of his passes for 3,429 yards and 27 touchdowns. His total yardage is good for fifth in the nation.

This dude does not have to change very much on the football field, but taking a razor to his face might not be such a bad idea come December 1 (it is No Shave November, after all).

RGIII is absolutely blowing up all of DC, and his performance on Sunday against conference foe Philadelphia was an absolute work of art.

Griffin completed 14-of-15 passes for an 200 yards and and career-high four touchdowns en route to a perfect 158.3 passer rating in the 31-6 blowout win.

Not bad for a dude in Florence's position this time last year.

The school's most high-profile alum had the best day of his career on Sunday, not even 24 hours after the school itself celebrated the biggest win in its program's history.

Talk about a Sunday Funday.
