Nick Saban will end his career at Alabama, according to wife Terry

Rumors have been swirling throughout the course of the 2013 season regarding Nick Saban and the Texas Longhorns. Saban has shot down the idea several times, but that hasn’t stopped the media from speculating.

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, Nick’s better half, wife Terry, did the best she could to lay the rumors to rest. Terry stated, “We have decided: this is where we are going to end our career.”

If one line wasn’t enough, she later reiterated the fact that the Saban’s won’t be leaving Tuscaloosa for another job, “We’re staying. We’re not going anywhere.”

Nick Saban is 62 years old. He’s stated before that he’s “too damn old to start over.” If Saban is able to corral another national title this year, it will give him four of the past five.

While Saban is a man driven by competition, there isn’t much more for him to accomplish. One has to wonder how much longer he will coach with the increasing level of expectations, as well as the lack of appreciation that comes with constantly winning.

“You come to a crossroads and the expectations get so great, people get spoiled by success and there gets to be a lack of appreciation,” Terry Saban said. “We’re kind of there now.”

For now, the Alabama faithful can breath easy knowing that their fearless leader won’t be putting on another school’s colors in the future.
