One year removed from a national championship berth, the 2013 season was a bit deflating for the Fighting Irish. Quarterback Evertt Golson was kicked out of school, and the team played inconsistently throughout the year. They beat some quality opponents (Michigan State and Arizona State), but also struggled against lesser teams (Navy and Pittsburgh).
Typically one of the most difficult schedules in the country, Notre Dame’s 2014 slate is shaping up to be a bear. Outside of their yearly rivalry games, the Irish will travel to Tallahassee to face the Seminoles. They will also host the Louisville Cardinals. Even the most fervent Notre Dame haters can’t deny that the team doesn’t shy away from competition.
Below is a look at the team’s 2014 schedule. The Fighting Irish will play six home games, four true road games and two neutral site contests.
