Ohio State president Gordon Gee completely embarrassed himself during a December speech with the rest of the Big Ten’s decision-makers.

Along with ripping on Notre Dame, Catholics, the state of Kentucky and the SEC, Gee also singled out former Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema.

Bielema departed Madison quite unceremoniously in order to take over the head coaching duties at Arkansas, in the SEC. Obviously, Gee, having already hated on the conference, was not going to let Bielema go. He claimed that Badgers athletic director Barry Alvarez wanted the “thug” that was Bielema to leave, and that the coach was lucky to have departed when he did.

On Friday night, Bielema tweeted out an apology received from the Buckeyes president, calling it “a start.”
