According to CBS Sports, the Boise State Broncos and Oklahoma State Cowboys have reached an agreement on a lucrative home-and-home series beginning in 2018.

The schools announced Friday that Boise State will travel to Stillwater, Okla., on Sept. 15, 2018, while Oklahoma State will make the return trip to Boise on Sept. 18, 2021.

The schools will exchange a guarantee of $400,000.

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy says the matchup with be a quality non-conference game for both teams, which is important as the NCAA moves to a four-team playoff to determine the national champion.

Boise State athletic director Mark Coyle says the Broncos are excited to bring a quality team like Oklahoma State to Boise.

This matchup promises to bring fans an exciting, early-season game, as well as provides both programs a chance for a quality out-of-conference win.

With the new playoff system set to take place in 2014, out-of-conference games such as this will likely become a more regular trend.
