Report: Oregon Ducks players face punishment for snowball fight

On Friday, videos and photos of Oregon Ducks players participating in a snow day surfaced. With a white blanket laid over the campus, they let loose like kids.

Their actions, however, will now receive discipline from the school, according to ESPN.com.

The snowball fight gained national attention when a video of players and students blocking a road, pelting passing cars and people, went viral.

Oregon coach Mark Helfrich released the following statement on the incident:

“On Saturday, I was made aware of an incident that occurred Friday afternoon during the snow day involving multiple Oregon students including members of the football team,” Helfrich said in a statement. “The behavior exhibited in the video is completely unacceptable and dangerous. We take this matter very seriously and disciplinary actions have begun.”
