Paul Finebaum is not a man to welch on a bet. The sports talk personality has paid his debt to an Auburn fan, giving away two tickets to the BCS Championship Game.
Earlier in the season Finebaum made a wager with diehard Auburn fan Joshua Smitherman that, if Auburn was to make it to the title game, he would give Smitherman tickets to the game.
Smitherman initially announced that the radio host reneged on his bet. However, there was apparently a misunderstanding, and Finebaum had never directly rebuffed the listener. On Friday’s “Paul Finebaum Show” the two men hashed out the issue, and Smitherman found himself in possession of two tickets to the big game.
Below is a post from Smitherman’s Facebook page.
The call from yesterday is the last call of this pod cast. still no word on travel and hotel so i really hope some how they are able to figure it out because like Paul Finebaum said i would be on the front of the plane with him but so far no word on how i will be getting there or where ill be staying but i will keep everyone posted. I am very appreciative of the fact that he did go ahead and get the tickets at least hes trying or at least i think he is lol!
