Paul George Blacked Out From Dwyane Wade Knee To The Head

Midway through the fourth quarter of Game 2, Paul George and Dwyane Wade scrambled for a loose ball. As George dove for the ball he was kneed in the head by Wade, after which he laid face down on the court. Following the game, George acknowledged that he momentarily blacked out and had fuzzy vision as a result. Here is the play.

According to Pacers beat writer Scott Agness, the team followed proper concussion protocol before allowing George to return to the game. Agness also reports that George was symptom free following the contest, but will undergo further testing.

Look for George’s health and concussion discussion to become a major plot line as the week unfolds – especially since Game 3 does not take place until Saturday. Here is one more look at the play.
