All the hullabaloo over Peyton Manning’s “Omaha” play calls has paid off. A group of Nebraska businesses have donated $24,800 to Manning’s Peyback Foundation following the Broncos’ AFC Championship victory.
The money comes after select companies pledged to pay $800 per “Omaha” call by Manning. The quarterback ended up saying “Omaha” 31 times during the game.
Some of the businesses contributing to the foundation were Omaha Steaks, Cox Communications and Mutual of Omaha.
Aside from all his charitable play calling, Manning also led the Broncos to the franchise’s seventh Super Bowl berth.
