John Elway is unquestionably the best quarterback in Denver Broncos history. However, when single-game greatness was reached at Mile High on Thursday night, the NFL Hall of Famer was watching from a booth far up in the stadium.
The Columbus Dispatch seems to believe it was Elway, not current superstar starter Peyton Manning, that threw for a record-tying seven touchdown passes in a 49-27 thrashing of the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens.
Nope, this isn’t even remotely close to being right. Publishers must be also warming up to the new season.
