Dabo Swinney knows how to work his way into the good graces of college students. With many – many, many – of them camped out at Clemson to try to score tickets to the Tigers’ highly-anticipated Week 1 showdown against Georgia, Swinney personally brought around boxes of Dunkin’ Donuts to those in tents.
It was a great move by a coach that understands his multi-million dollar salary is paid by the passion of his fans in both ticket and television revenue.
It’s just too bad he couldn’t have handed out six packs of beer. It’s pretty much the only thing we can think of that college students might have wanted more than sweets (maybe pizza, but you get it).
