Kiffin Effect: No fans showed up to the USC game vs. Boston College

Everything looked so promising for the No. 1-ranked USC Trojans to open the 2012 season. It has all been one embarrassing slide downhill since then, however, and now the folks out in Hollywood seem to have found a better way to spend their Saturday.

Nobody showed up to watch the rebuilding Boston College Eagles head into the Coliseum to take on a Lane Kiffin-led squad without a starting quarterback – and why should they?

Above is a photo taken roughly 15 minutes before kickoff. There are a few more people by the time the Trojans are running onto the field below, but swathes of empty seats remain.

what a joke … “no fans” = 62,000 plus. It was over 90 degrees and game started at noon in stadium with zero shade. Those photos were taken well before kick off while fans were still tail gateing. Many SC fans tend to come just in time for kick off. this is a silly article with an obvious bias.
