FSU stormed into Death Valley and left with a 51-14 beat down of Clemson. Not only did the Noles bring an undefeated record back to Tallahassee, but they also brought a piece of Death Valley to add to the Sod Cemetery.
This Florida State tradition dates back to 1962, when FSU professor Dean Coyle Moore told the team to ”Bring back some sod from between the hedges at Georgia.”
The Noles continue the tradition today for all road games in which they are the underdog, all road games at the hated Florid Gators, all ACC championship games and all postseason bowl games.
