Johnny Manziel is the Tide Nation’s most-wanted man. He has been since he announced his presence to the nation a year ago in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
This week, Alabama and Texas A&M finally meet again. There are only a few days left of trash talking before the hitting begins.
In anticipation, one Tuscaloosa bar, Otey’s Tavern in Mountain Brook’s Crestline Village, has hung a 30-inch-tall replica of the Heisman Trophy winner they are calling, “Johnny Piñata.”
Otey owner Will Haver shared with AL.com the plans for Mr. Piñata:
“We don’t know what we are going to do with it besides hang it up in the tavern and see if we can’t get some people to come by and take pictures, and then maybe we will have a bashing on Wednesday night,” Otey’s owner Will Haver told AL.com. “Or, if he can make it all the way to the football game on Saturday, then after the game, we may do it some more.”
There has been no word yet as to if Johnny P. will be signing any autographs over the next few days.
