Tampa Bay fans will not be seeing fifth-year QB Josh Freeman on the field against Arizona. Having struggled leading the Bucs to an 0-3 start to the 2013 campaign, coach Greg Schiano has benched him in favor of rookie Mike Glennon.
That doesn’t mean young Freeman won’t be far out of view for the franchise, however. In a pretty hilarious fail, the franchise has issued thousands of tickets to Sunday’s game featuring Freeman in the team’s throwback creamsicle orange uniforms.
Even better? The reason for the orange uni is to advertise the franchise’s planned throwback game against the Cardinals. However, new league policy dictates that teams cannot switch helmets mid-season, and the Bucs did not want to wear the old jerseys with their modern helmets.
Fail and double fail. One more and we’ll have the same amount of fails as losses. Ouch.
